Janet’s Early Life
Janet lived on a farm northeast of DeSoto, Kansas until the end of the second grade when she, her parents, and her brother, Larry, moved to Topeka, Kansas.
Her mother taught her to play the piano and to teach, which she did for over forty years. Besides playing and teaching the piano, she enjoyed reading mysteries and crime fiction books.
Mysteries and Crime Fiction
As a result of her desire to read mysteries and crime fiction, she wanted to learn how to write them, so she continued studying these genres and writing short stories and books in order to have her books published someday.
Janet’s Goals in Life
In June, 2007, Janet reached one of her goals, which was to be a published author. She was self-published through Lulu.com. She enjoyed working at home as a freelance writer so she could work as a book reviewer, copy editor, course developer and instructor, and online e-mail tutor.
Janet’s Goals
Janet received a BGS Degree in Human Development and Family Life from the University of Kansas and a BA Degree in English with a writing emphasis from Washburn University. She plans to continue reading and writing mysteries.
Janet’s Pets
Janet also has three dogs that she really enjoys playing with and teaching them. Crissy LeeAnn’s Life is one of her books that she wrote about her dogs.
